PRINCETON, N.J. – April 22, 2016 – Creative Marketing Alliance ( CMA), a full-service marketing firm located in Princeton Junction, N.J., was honored as the Outstanding Small Business of the Year by the MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce last night.
The recognition was presented by MIDJersey Chamber CEO and President Robert Prunetti during an awards reception at the Princeton Hyatt.
Creative Marketing Alliance (CMA) was recognized as the Outstanding Small Business of the Year by the MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce on April 21 at the Hyatt Regency in Princeton. CMA Founder and CEO Jeffrey Barnhart is seated on the left with the award with members of the CMA staff.
“The relationships that we have cultivated from the MIDJersey Chamber have been our bedrock. Working together, we were able to prosper during good economic times, while enduring the rest,” said Jeffrey Barnhart, founder and CEO of CMA. “Thanks to the relationships that we have built, we are able to manage all of our marketing services under one roof, allowing our clients to do what they do best…run their businesses and serve their clients, members, customers and patients.”
The Outstanding Small Business of the Year award recognizes a small business (fewer than 100 employees) that has had a significant impact on economic development of Central Jersey.
“In CMA’s 29 years of providing their clients with outstanding marketing and communication campaigns CMA has made a tangible impact on its clients and a sustained commitment to our community,” said Paul Kuhl, senior manager at withum and chairman of the MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce. “The MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce is very pleased to name Creative Marketing Alliance (CMA) as the 2016 Small Business of the Year Honoree. Congratulations to Jeff and the entire CMA team!”

“The MIDJersey Chamber is delighted to recognize CMA with the Small Business of the Year Award,” Prunetti added. “While officially a small business, CMA has a large presence in the Mid-Jersey region. CMA continually executes at the highest-level by delivering exceptional service to its diverse client-base. CMA helped to effectively remarket and rebrand the Chamber in 2012. They are an important ally in the business community and this award exemplifies their commitment to success.”
While most marketing firms have consolidated in recent years, CMA’s leadership has created a growth strategy that continues to increase the company’s offerings. CMA is able to save its clients more time and money by providing a growing portfolio of marketing services under one roof. The marketing firm produces strategic campaigns, public relations and social media, publications and email marketing services, website development and management, SEO/SEM, advertising, marketing collateral, videos and more.
“Recognition by our local business community as the Outstanding Small Business of the Year means so much to all of us,” Barnhart said. “This recognition highlights all of the hard work the whole team has done on behalf of our clients here in the MIDJersey region throughout the past 29 years.”
CMA provides marketing services for many Chamber members, including award sponsors First Bank, HBK and Szaferman Lakind. In addition, CMA’s employees volunteer their time at many of the Chamber’s nonprofits, including CASA, Dress for Success, HomeFront, One Simple Wish, Rescue Mission of Trenton and Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.
“Congratulations to the other honorees who include Investors Bank for Distinguished Corporation of the Year, Princeton Area Community Foundation for Community Impact, former Hamilton Mayor Jack Rafferty as Citizen of the Year and Michael Mann, Esq. from Pepper Hamilton LLP as the Ed Meara Lifetime Achievement Award Winner,” Barnhart said. “It is an honor to be recognized with these outstanding companies and individuals.”
